Creations on my handcrafted Rose Engine!
Oh my
have I had some fun with this lathe. I created a rose engine
myself and am now making beautiful wood gifts with rosettes. I
can put a little rosette on just about anything. I've put them
on the back of the watches and they turn out really nice. Here
are a few of my rosette bottle top creations. These are just a

A unique story behind each wood gift we
create

Each piece that we create
tells a story. Here you will find wonderfully unique handcrafted
wood pieces that are beautiful and great conversation starters! We
search all over for the most wonderfully intricate and beautiful
pieces of wood we can find. Our wood is usually "FOG" wood (found
on the ground) or wood that has already been cut down. We use pieces
of wood from the beaches of California, Hawaii and Oregon and from
our travels around the United States, as well as some elegant wood
from specialty wood shops. Some of our wood has been rescued
from a shredder in our home town of Lompoc, other pieces are
scavenged and whisked away from wood piles. |

With each of our wooden
gifts you purchase, you will receive a post card that has the type
of wood, the history of the particular piece of wood used to create
your wood gift as well as some general information about the wood
itself. On the back of the postcard is the interesting story
about the artist behind Expressions in Wood, Gerry Davis. |
Custom Order Wood Gifts

Custom orders are always
welcome. If there is a specific wood you'd like us to use for
a project, just let us know. Our hand-turned wood gifts are
each unique because no two come out exactly alike. However, if
there is a design on our site that you adore and want multiple
"copies" let us know. We can make multiple pieces out of the
same wood, just know that each will have its own grain, character
and life story. Just drop us a
note and let us
know what you are interested in. Depending on the request,
custom orders can take anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks to create. We
always work in a timely, manner but sometimes custom orders take a
bit longer than regular orders. Thank you for your patience
and understanding. |

Pepperwood, Baltic Birch, Bacota, Walnut, Eastern & Curly Maple,
Alder, Carob and many other types of wood as we find them.
